What
does Redlaw do exactly?
Can
you give me more detail on what you do for
the pay-for-placement package?
Do
you create doorway, gateway or informational
pages?
So
once you've submitted these doorway pages
we no longer need you?
My web site is already listed
in many of the search engines, what happens
when you create doorway pages? Will they get
removed?
What
happens after the initial 3 months work?
What
if I want to drop out of the program before
the agreed term?
Will
you remove all my top position pages if I
want to drop out of the program?
How
do I choose key phrases to promote my products
or services?
I want you to submit to search engines that
are not on your list, can you do that?
When
would we expect to see results in the search
engines?
Our
web site uses frames, does this make a difference?
Our
web sites uses Flash, Shockwave, Real Audio,
CGI, Shopping Carts, Java or other cool stuff.
Will this cause problems for the optimisation
programme?
We
want to design our own pages rather than rely
upon an 'outsider' to do them.
We
have a theme or look to our web site that
we want continued throughout.
Our
web site home or main page needs to be changed
on a regular basis. Can the pages be changed
to reflect these amendments also?
I've
seen one or two other companies offer to get
my web pages listed at the top of search engine
listings and for less money, why should I
use Redlaw?
I've
seen other companies offer to submit my web
pages to search engines for less than $20
or even for free, why should I use Redlaw?
I've seen other companies offer to submit
my web pages to 2,000 plus search engines,
why should I use Redlaw who submit to far
less?
What levels of traffic will my web site attract
once these optimised pages are indexed on
the search engines?
Do you operate 'trade accounts' that settle
up on say a 30 day basis?
Q.
What does Redlaw do exactly?
A. Redlaw
provides a high quality service delivering
targeted customers direct to your web site
using unique research and design techniques.
We optimise current or create new pages for
you based on key phrases which will promote
your web site and gain you extra traffic.
These pages integrate fully with the rest
of your web site, and we submit them to the
appropriate search engines and directories.
We then aim to get these new pages listed
in the top 50 or top 30. This is our primary
function although we also offer pay-per-click
management, research, optimisation and submission
packages separately for those with limited
budgets or who have already undertaken some
of the processes.

Q.
Can you give me more detail on what you do
for the pay-per-placement package?
There
are basically three key stages to each package:
1. Research
2. Design and Submission
3. Monitoring
1.
Research
Here we look at your product(s) or service(s)
and make a list of the range of key phrases
that most aptly describe these products/services.
We look at key phrases that have been introduced
on your current web site and add any that
we feel may be relevant. Don't worry, this
is a crucial part of the program and we will
work with you to ensure that your key phrases
are the right ones for your product or service.
From here we apply our intensive research
which will make all the difference between
getting little and getting significant amounts
of traffic. If ever there was a secret to
getting traffic, this is it!
This stage of the program will produce a highly
detailed report on key phrases actually used
by searchers. It will show many phrases which
you may never have considered because we apply
lateral searches as well as the obvious. We
will also detail the potential relative traffic
levels associated with each phrase.
From
this list of key phrases, we will be able
to choose the ones that are appropriate and
have the least competition. The number of
key phrases will determine the level of spend
you need for this campaign.
2.
Design and Submission
Once we know what the targets are (the number
of key phrases you've chosen), we will optimise
the appropriate number of pages for your web
site. It will look and 'feel' like it is part
of your site but will be specifically optimised
for key phrases so that it is ranked high
by search engines.
Once this step is complete for all the pages,
we submit them to all the major search engines.
It may take several weeks or several months
before your new pages are listed. This is
entirely in the hands of the search engines
and we have no influence over this part of
the process.
3.
Monitoring
Once submitted, if a page achieves a top 30
or top 50 place in one of the search engines,
there is no telling how long it will remain
there. Search engines often drop web pages
from their listing for no apparent reason
or other new web sites may push you out of
the top. It is an important part of the process
to keep monitoring your position. As soon
as we submit your pages, we start providing
reports on your positions once a month and
resubmit any pages that have been dropped
by the search engine. Any pages that have
fallen in rank we may re-optimise and resubmit.
The
maintenance program is optional after your
initial budget has been spent, but if you
wish to guarantee to remain in the coveted
top positions it is important you consider
this program. We would normally recommend
a minimum of a 3 month maintenance program
each renewal.

Q.
Do you create doorway, gateway or informational
pages?
A.
These pages are created by many of our competitors
but are specifically stated by most search
engines as 'undesirable' or 'banned'. In other
words if you are discovered by search engines
utilising this kind of technique you could
well be penalised or evn banned from the listings
in that engine. We do not subscribe to this
method, preferring to only produce serach
engine friendly pages that will remain in
the engine's listings.

Q.
So once you've submitted these pages we no
longer need you?
A.
Once submitted, if a page achieves a top 30
place in one of the search engines, there
is no telling how long it will remain there.
Search engines often drop web pages from their
listing for no apparent reason or other new
web sites may push you out of the top 30.
It is an important part of the process to
keep monitoring your position. During the
initial package we supply reports on your
positions once a month and also resubmit any
pages that have been dropped by the search
engine as well as re-optimise pages that have
fallen in rank. This is part of the initial
package you will have signed up for which
lasts until your budget is spent. The maintenance
program is available after this.

Q.
My web site is already listed in many of the
search engines, what happens when you optimise
pages? Will they get removed?
A.
No. The optimised pages will rank higher and
will not affect any other page listing you
may currently have in the search engine. So
you will effectively have your web site listed
more than once in the search engine which
will increase your chances of being found.
It's a bonus.

Q.
What happens after my budget is spent?
A.
As mentioned earlier above, it's likely your
web site ranking will fall for whatever reason.
If you wish to guarantee to remain in the
coveted top positions it is important you
consider taking up the maintenance
program. We would normally recommend a minimum
of a 3 month program each renewal.
Back
to top
Q.
What if I want to drop out of the maintenance
program before the agreed term?
A.
We do not require you to sign contracts that
commit you. If you wish to drop out of the
program you only have to let us know in advance.
We will stop the process at the end of the
month and you will only be billed up to that
month.
Back
to top
Q.
Will you remove all my top position pages
if I want to drop out of the maintenance program?
A.
Certainly not! The pages will remain on your
web server and we will not do anything that
will affect your currently listed pages. Please
note however, that it's likely that your pages
will drop in rank or not be listed at all
in time as this is the natural process that
occurs on the search engines. (That's why
our maintenance program is an important part
of the service we offer).

Q.
How do I choose key phrases to promote my
products or services?
A.
Don't worry, this is a crucial part of the
program and we will work with you to ensure
that your key phrases are the right ones for
your product or service. We research the key
phrases that you currently use which are related
to your product . And finally we check that
the key phrases are ones actually used by
searchers when looking to buy! This is a service
we believe is not offered by everyone and
yet can make all the difference between getting
little and getting huge amounts of traffic.
If ever there was a secret to getting traffic,
this is it!

Q.
I want you to submit to search engines that
are not on your list, can you do that?
A.
Possibly, but you should note that around
95% of the world's Internet traffic passes
through some 12 search engines. If we don't
include the search engine in our plan it's
because it's not usually effective to do so.

Q.
When would we expect to see results in the
search engines?
A.
All the search engines vary considerably.
One or two have been known to index within
a month and some take as long as 3 months
before results are seen. Generally speaking
you should allow 4 to 6 weeks before seeing
results and expect that some results may not
occur for 3 months or so. This is not unusual
and the timescales often change dramatically,
sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Our
packages include paid inclusion which guarantees
you will start to see results usually within
a week.
Back
to top
Q.
Our web site uses frames, does this make a
difference?
A.
Yes. Some search engines can't handle frames
pages and you will not be listed very well,
if at all. Our recommendation would be to
remove frames if at all possible. All things
being equal, if you had two identical websites
listed in one search engine, the non-frames
based site will be listed higher. Nuff said.
Back

Q.
Our web sites uses Flash, Shockwave, Real
Audio, CGI, Shopping Carts, Java or other
cool stuff. Will this cause problems for the
optimisation programme?
A.
Yes. In general we cannot create reasonably
ranked pages that include these techniques
to a large extent on the web page. We would
need to design web pages that do not include
any of these techniques. The reality is that
for pages that extensively use these techniques,
search engines will NOT rank the pages well,
if at all. The web page optimisation programme
can address these issues but we may need to
negotiate a different fee as a lot of redesign
may be necessary.
Back
to top
Q.
We want to change our own pages rather than
rely upon an 'outsider' to do them.
A.
Sorry, this is not possible. Pages are specifically
optimised around unique algorithms for search
engines. The placement and wording of the
text is crucial in gaining those coveted top
positions. Search engines do not care about
design or marketing, only the context.
Back
to top
Q.
We have a theme or look to our web site that
we want continued throughout.
A.
This may be limited depending on what is involved
on your current site. Graphics especially
may well significantly affect what we can
achieve as far as high rankings are concerned.
If Redlaw has access to the artwork and text
and we will endeavour to match the rest of
your web site. Redlaw however will make the
final decision on page content especially
the text. Without this control we would not
be able to guarantee your placements in the
search engines.
Back
to top
Q.
Our web site home or main page needs to be
changed on a regular basis. Can the page be
changed to reflect these amendments also?
A.
It may be possible to have a special section
on the optimised where changes may take place
but in general changes to the page may affect
the page's rankings.
Back
to top
Q.
I've seen one or two other companies offer
to get my web pages listed at the top of search
engine listings and for less money, why should
I use Redlaw?
A.
Absolutely true. Redlaw is unique however
in that it undertakes research to determine
which key phrases customers are using and
focus on these. Whilst these other companies
may indeed get you into the top 50 say, it's
not much help if the key phrases you've employed
are not the ones that potential customers
use! So you could in fact be
at number 1 position in all the search engines,
but if the customers are not using those key
phrases you might as well not exist! You won't
get the traffic! Simple really isn't it? Our
intensive research identifies which key phrases
people use to find your type of product or
service, we focus on those key words and YOU
get all the traffic!
Back
to top
Q.
I've seen other companies offer to submit
my web pages to search engines for less than
$20 or even for free, why should I use Redlaw?
A.
These companies offer submission programs
NOT promotion programs (no matter what
they say). These companies will submit your
web site to a list of search engines, and
that's all they do. Getting listed
is not enough! It's relatively easy
to get listed in a search engine but requires
much more expertise to get listed properly
using appropriate key phrases! You will not
get noticed otherwise. So these companies
charge you for a service that achieves very
little and that you could have done yourself
for free.
Back
to top
Q.
I've seen other companies offer to submit
my web pages to 2,000 or more search engines,
why should I use Redlaw who submit to far
less?
A.
Firstly, there are not 2,000 search engines
on the Internet (the real number is somewhere
around 400). The majority of the 2,000 are
directories, registers or Free For All (FFA)
sites that nobody, except those people
who do the submitting, ever use. Most
of these also just collect your e-mail address
in order to send you their advertising message
and to sell your address on to others. This
method is completely ineffective in promoting
your web site and will only result in you
receiving hundreds of unsolicited e-mails
(SPAM). Redlaw ONLY submits to the search
engines that account for 97% of the world's
Internet traffic.
Back
to top
Q.
What levels of traffic will my web site attract
once my optimised web pages are indexed on
the search engines?
A.
Different products or services attract different
levels of activity on the Internet and it's
impossible to quantify these. For example
you would expect more levels of traffic to
a web site that sells music CD's, which has
a much wider appeal, than traffic to a web
site that sells bird cages. What you can
expect is an increase in the level of
traffic and sales as a result of using targeted
key phrases (so long as your web site has
appropriate methods in place to 'close' a
sale. We have no control over your ability
to sell a product or service).
Back
to top
Q.
Do you operate 'trade accounts' that settle
up on say a 30 day basis?
A.
No. Operating that sort of administration
internationally would be extremely difficult
and not cost effective. Payment must be received
in advance in order to secure a place in our
busy schedule. Once payment is received, work
will commence on the agreed dates.
